When we bought the farm near Bairnsdale we immediately set out to get planning underway for a couple of B&B cottages, and found that while much of the submission was something I could collate after years of working as a project manager, I also realised that there were many aspects that needed both local knowledge and drafting skills. I found Jim, and have been immensely pleased with the discovery! He helped clarify a number of things that I needed to cover, helped significantly with advice on refining the design of the cottages we wanted, as well as prepared the required Site Plans, and put me in contact with an excellent engineer that did a land capability analysis and septic system design. What was especially wonderful was Jim’s availability. He made me feel like I was his most important customer, even though I KNEW he had lots of other work underway that was in reality MUCH bigger than the elements I was asking Jim to do. I originally approached James (Jim) McSweeney as we had seen previous projects he had designed and were impressed with the quality of the finished product. E received infrastructure funding to further develop our Medical Education Centre, some of our requirements were unique and from our initial request, to proposal, execution and completion Jim Listened, he responded and his approach was professional, Jim was easy to work with and his expertise in this field together with commitment to excellence resulted in a work friendly environment, with safety requirement being met and we came in on budget. When received further infrastructure funding, we went straight back to Jim with no hesitation, we are proud occupiers of a “ state of the art” Health Education Centre comparable to any in city areas, that is meeting the training requirements of Health Professionals in East Gippsland.
